NVQs are available at five levels of achievement that reflect the various technical and supervisory skills, knowledge and experience which employees should have as they progress in their industry.

Who is it for?

This course is suitable for operatives within the cleaning industry who use mechanical equipment as part of their cleaning duties.

What will people learn?

Health & Safety Promoting and maintaining service delivery And choice of 3 or 4 topics from:

• Cleaning and protecting floors
• Cleaning carpets and soft furnishings
• Cleaning surfaces up to 4 metres
• Cleaning toilets and washrooms
• And a choice of 1 or 2 topics from:
• Supporting the work of a team
• Developing and maintaining positive customer relations
• Controlling the use of resources
  

What will people achieve?

NVQs are work-based qualifications that assess the skills and knowledge people have and need to perform their job role effectively. The qualification is designed using national occupational standards.
